Last night at 12:30 I was covered in sawdust and bondo dust from head to toe, the garage smelled horrible and I was thirsty.... I drank couple shots of Burbon and a beer or 5
I woke up last night around 12:30 and felt that I needed to read the bible. I went back to sleep!
This morning at church the preacher asked me what I was doing at 12:18 this morning. I was stunned!
He told me he had a dream about me and there were good things to come!
I am confused.
dont be confused. in the bible, there is a story(i believe it is about david or solomon) and a boy hears his name called out. the boy goes to his master and asks what he can do for him, he is told he was not called and to go back to bed. this happens again with the same result. the third time he is told by his master that this is the Lord calling him and to ask what is wanted of him. perhaps the Lord wants you to ask and He will tell you.
I'd have faith. Faith that I do not know what will happen, but whether I like it or not, expect it or not, god has dreamed up good things for me.
I heared/read a saying today.. "The purpose of me making plans is to provide God with a framework in which to teach me about surrender, acceptance, patience, and Faith.""
I can dare to hear what I hear,
see what I see,
think what I think,
feel how I feel.
Well I guess this is my second time. When I was 13 I woke up with the same message. I am a sinner and I dont know if I can speak the word of the lord! I dont want to sin and turn around and force someone else on the lord!

Jesus did not come to save the saved! He came to save the sinners. the pharisees and saducees had a real problem with Jesus hanging out with prostitutes and tax collectors but he came to save the wayward. you dont have to be perfect to be a Christian, you just have to want to do what the Lord asks because He loves you and you love Him. as far as feeling hyppocritical, that truly is a tool of the devil to separate you from God's love by trying to make you feel unworthy. remember, the apostles were men also.

hmmm, could the fact that you felt you needed to read the bible be because you were to attend church the very next morning? still very weird though, could be coincidence but i am definately not one to say.
I think if the preacher would not have asked I would have never thought about it.
PART:2
So after taking a couple of philosophy classes in school, I am not sure about this! One of my philosophy classes was in Christianity and I think that I am more confused now. Modern worship teaches us a bunch of what ifs’. I think we tailor Christianity to our needs and comforts. This makes me even more confused.

I don't want to sound...... un-faithful, but I feel god is all around me every day and not something you find in a book or in a place of worship you visit once a week...
Again, this is NOTHING against any of you who practice your religion, I believe in a god that is here for everybody unconditionally, regardless of WHAT religion you subscribe to or your beliefs. When young, my mother DRAGGED me to many different places of worship, i never once felt comfortable at any one place... and this is exactly WHY...

Again, just my opinion and not ment to offend....

Totally agree, god exist all around us. No need for a temple, literature to define your faith for God. Or scripted prayers either.
867, I think its just that maybe you wanted this revelation so bad, you made yourself believe it. Either way personal revelations are never short of amazing.
