Largest privately owned grocery store in the country...can't remember if it's the largest privately owned company in the country or not though.

Yeah, Publix is, in my opinion, the best grocery store I have ever been in. In terms of quality of food, quality of service, Cleanliness. They have a large variety of products, and every Publix that I have been in has ALWAYS had hot girls working there- and not just the young ones fresh out of highschool either-- I've seen some pretty hot moms working there.

Oh yeah... and they have some damn good subs too!

Just great that I've never even heard of this place in my life...

I've been to some Publix in florida and they were nice...but not as nice as Wegman's or Whole Foods, in my opinion (though whole foods are much smaller size and selection wise). Wegman's is a small regional chain in upstate NY and PA.

Yea, you're a little too far North, and West. We only operate in 5 states currently. Florida, Alabama, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.
