got to love transmission line...... and got to love pete. highly skilled man with designs and techniques....
i would prefer something other than how loud people think it gets. such as the sound characteristics, accuracy, transient speed, but im sure it matches as well... solid woofer for its size, as i saw in another thread, i have to agree. i would have liked a better basket, but i understand its in the imagine line. however unlike other arguements in the other thread i totally understand why u designed a 6.5 sub. my mom having a landcruiser i know thhat they utilize 2 6.5's back there in a plastic enclosuire on the side.
Anyone can take a small sub and turn it into a 1 note wonder... but to make a musical small sub have the presence of a larger sub is an art. Could make for some more creative sub locations.

Presence as in what? Ouput? I still tend to believe any sub can sound great in the proper enclosure.
I have this one here with a pair of 6.5" subs, you wouldnt even begin to believe me its a pair of 6.5's in the trunk, many have guessed a pair of 12's or a trio of 10's. Has to be the best sounding ported setup I have heard also.

I’m going to use one I6SW, will go under the glove compartment and will use some of the floor’s are in front of the passenger’s seat to generate the internal volume of the enclosure.
At first I was going to use 2 in a sealed box, but now my plan is to use only one in a vented box!
any feed back is appreciated
Thank you.

also in my installation i'm thinking of running a 3 way active in the front and install 2 of these in the rear door. do you think that would be wise? my knowledge is very ltd
Sure, in a vented enclosure. Free air is clearly not recommended.
Alas, it is a 6.5-inch sub, and although selling very well to OEM upgrade-type customers, I doubt you'd hear much about it on this particular forum.
Would it blend nicely with the legratia series products? My thoughts are for a 3way active in the fronts and a pair of these subs on the rear doors. I dont want to use any space in the boot.
I guess it leaves the question.. if you can't IB it, and you shouldn't small seal it.. then why use it? If you need to build a box that would normally be used for a larger sub, then use the larger sub?
Yes as a matter of fact my I6SW will arrive next week, it's going into a 0.35cu.ft. vented enclosure facing forward in front of the passengers area under the dashboard.
I have a good feeling that this is going to be great!
