Yes, they're all over the site. A little searching should turn up what you need.

A search of "DIYMA 12 T/S" yields the following thread:

DIYMA 12" Specs/Parameters

I don't know if that's post break-in, but the search function should work just as well for you as it did for me.

The specs I posted are an accurate representation of what you can expect for the R12. A small portion of the last part of the production run had variances in the specs, but those account for a VERY small percentage of R12's that were made from what I've been told by NPDang.

Did that include the liquidation of the R12's that had unpainted magnets?

Patrick Bateman gave me a link to some tested T/S specs from one of the lot you're talking about. Still wondering if I'm fighting cabin gain or own a set w/different specs.

Then again...I'm still learning

Just for the record, I did use search and came up with no results, perhaps refining my search next time will yield better results. Thx anyway.

IIRC, none of the R12's had painted magnets. I have 2 of them from the early part of the production run and the magnets on those are unpainted.

The original prototype run had black painted magnets. My first one has them painted but my second does not.

I believe I got one of those off-spec liquidation high Qts ones, but after all the rave ink about the DIYMA12 here I 'almost' convinced myself that it sounded ok. But after a lot of tuning effort I figured out it just plain sounded bloated and muddy. So if your DIYMA seems to sound like crap its probably 'cause it sounds like crap. Based on Patrick's measured specs maybe 1.6 cuft or so sealed would work?

Is your box just a rectangle made of mdf or did you do additional things to it ?

SPLers seal their wood with fiberglas resin and port their boxes, some folks stuff their boxes with polyfil and make them sound smoother.

boxes made from fiberglass have an uneven surface to them.
