I have a box of miscellaneous crap that was never used in my install. Maybe I ordered the correct stuff and they sent me something else? This sounds better than I bought a bunch of useless stuff.

Sonic Electronix seems like they closed down their west coast warehouse and all their inventory is coming out of their Kansas warehouse. I think they still have their corporate office in Chatsworth but as far as customer support, it's coming out of Kansas too.

The woes of Sonic Electronix continues. I've been a customer of theirs for over 10 years now and the quality of customer service has gone way down. At one point, orders were filled quickly and accurately and in the rare case of a mistake, they were quick to resolve it. Now, inaccurate orders and don't even bother trying to call them. I was literally on hold with them for 2.5 hours and the number of callers in front of me never changed. Now I know that it doesn't take more than 2 hours to help one person. If you opt for the call back option, the moment you hit that button you get a message saying that there seems to be an error and it's not available. You call back to get back in the queue and the number of callers ahead of you is either the same, or it may have gone up. Emails take 2-3 days to get a resonse on and even then they are not very definitive with how they can help you.

The bad thing is...if you look for a retailer that offers a wide variety to cover any budget, Sonic's got it. They are just lacking in the customer service area and that makes any experience with them (good or bad) either bad or worse.

I've got a head unit that I received from them about 3 weeks ago that's still in the box because they sent the wrong wire harness with it. I've been trying to get the matter resolved and to date, they still can't tell me which wire harness I need.

I hope things get better for them

Sonic's service started going downhill when they got rid of their west coast warehouse and started shipping everything from a centralized location which is in Kentucky or Kansas.

At this point I'm glad I'm able to find most of what I need either new or barely used through people I trust. Then there's Madisound and PE. Guess Sonic is getting more business than they can handle so hopefully if a whole high traffic car audio forum stops buying from them they'll be able to handle the customers that don't know any better.

I feel you. I haven't done a lot of business w/ Sonic Electronix, but I have purchased items from them in the past. I think what made the company start going down hill was when they closed down their west coast warehouse in California and started shipping everything out from one centralized location out in the midwest, Kentucky I think or it might be Kansas. Can't recall. But what would be a 2 day, the most 3 days max shipping to folks out on the west coast, everything is being delivered from said location, which is taking anywhere from a week or more. To top it off, the items being delivered are A) wrong item sent, B) product is damaged or DOA or C) a combination of both. Then you still have to deal w/ the customer service rep and usually they're of no help and want to charge you, the customer a return shipping label even though they're the ones that messed up (read a lot negative reviews from unhappy customers about this) and/or they try to put the blame on you for ruining said product.

All I do now is just browse their site and see if I can find it on Amazon for cheaper. Granted, there's been times where I've been tempted to purchase from them but I just think back to how their shipping methods aren't what it used to be.

I've been using Sonic Electronix since 2008 . Never had a problem with orders or with returns .just returned an amp I thought had a problem they were great. Sent replacement before they received the defect unit.only good experiences here

Oh, that sounds great. I just sent in an amp for warranty and they had low stock on the one I needed. Worried they would sell out and then discontinue. I asked them to hold one for me- NOPE! I asked them if I can purchase then get a refund once the had mine back- NOPE! Only thing I could do was hurry and ship it before they sold out. Go ship it and come back and they are sold out and discontinued on my amp model. Of COURSE!

Still holding out hope they held one once they saw the label ship- if they did I will update.

i just ordered speakers from sonic(Through their ebay store to save shipping) and i got it in 2 days(granted im close to KY) and it was well packaged, defect free, correct product, etc.

ive ordered from them a couple times in the past 10 years and never had any problems. tho ive never had to use the customer service or return something
