Default Sundown SD-2 8s Testers ?

Who runs sealed 8s ? I am looking for a couple of established and active DIYMA members to test out some SD-2 8s -- I really love these little subs and will be running some in my truck soon; I don't think many people are aware of them so I'd like to get some reviews in These are an under-hung unit made for very small sealed (0.25 to 0.50) boxes.

I've run both 1 and 2 JL 8W3V3's in my Tundra Crewmax sealed. I have 500W on tap for sub duty and would gladly run 2,3, or 4 of these sealed. I was actually all set to buy a pair of these during the pre-order last December, but Christmas killed that plan. Let me know.

I'd dump my Kicker Comp 12" in a heart beat for a pair of those. I've always liked the sound and flexibility of 8's much more than any other size sub (in a hatchback that is).

I'd be up for it! I've been around a "few" 8"s in my time some have even been pretty well documented on here. I am building a PHD demo vehicle and the only thing undecided so far is sub duty! One thing that I am looking for is another company to include in my sales and account management company (N.E.A.R. New England Audiophile Reps) for the entire New England area. Perhaps this could be a two fold operation?
I have been saving the sub slot open just in case a company I picked up had a strong sub line.....

I'm wanting to do a linear power build in my f150 and the sd-2 8's are what I was planning on running. I have .5ft sealed on each side just to leave space for the amps in the middle. what's the load on these? My sub stage is ran by a lp2202iq mono @ 4ohm.
Also I would be more than happy to put some SA stickers on the truck. And I always demo for people. I'm not really shy about the system.

What's the mounting depth? Got a truck that's running 2 E8v2's currently in about .4 cu each. If they'll fit, be happy to take them for a spin.

I'd be curious to hear how well these will work in doors as a monster mid bass. I'm debating swapping/selling my 18sound MB400's in my vette for a pair of 8" subs with a 3" mid to meet up to my HLCD's.

I have a buddy that just ordered a SA8 v.2 the other day. I'm excited to get my hands on it so I build a box for him. I think I'm almost more excited than he is. Haha.

Been a bit sick but I'm still on it -- this is what I have so far of folks that look to be pretty active around here :

1) SkizeR - PM (Contacted)
2) AAAAAAA - PM (Contacted)
3) metanium - PM (Contacted)
4) req - Post (Contacted)
5) onebadmonte - Post (Contacted)
6) SHOToonz - Post (Contacted)
7) rexroadj - Post (Contacted)
8) for2nato - Post
9) Chaos - Post (Contacted)
10) bmiller1 - Post (Contacted)

These are the first 10 I see that fit into the established / active category from what I can tell.

So anyone of these 10 that would like to try out the SD-2 8s send me an e-mail to jacobfuller@sundownaudio.com with your name and address and if you need to test 1 or 2 pcs (two is the maximum). Outside of continental 48 or outside of USA may need to cover some SH charges. If you need more than two I can arrange a special deal on the additional pcs.

To answer a few questions :

1) Box size of 0.25 to 0.50 cubes.
2) They are available in D4 coils only.
3) We rate them for 300 RMS each; I have ran more personally in the 0.25 size box.
4) Mounting depth is 4.75" behind the gasket.

I look forward to everyone's impressions on these. I just built a box for the SA-8v.2 and its amazing what this "little" guy can do. I only tested it off of roughly 450w too. The best part is its extremely clean too.
