Hey guys, I have 2 Boston Pro Series 8.5LF's that I'll be building an enclosure for in the near future but can't decide which way to go. I know Boston was very clear in stating these are designed for and should only be used in sealed enclosures, but after modeling them, they look like they would be perfect ported in .5 Cu. per. Is there something I am missing here? I am admittedly fairly new at modeling subs, so If someone else would like to input the parameters and see what they come up with, that would be awesome. I'd like to tune the enclosure somewhere between 32-34 hz by the way. I'd really love to port these to get as much output as I can out of them but I won't if I'll be sacrificing anything else. Let me know what you guys think.
