Rockford, Polk, or Alpine would be good. I also was designing an SQL set up, and I went with 2 Arc Audio Black 12's (adding a third later) but they are 450$ a piece for new, and good luck finding them used anywhere (I cant) so im thinking it might be out of your budget with the speakers you listed.

Witch would be a better deal

2 type s 15's or 2 type r 12's this is going to be a sealed box. can the 15's keep up with rock? I know speakers have changed is the only reason i ask 15's used to be a bit slower because of how much cone they had to move. but with new tech this might have changed.

Try using three CDT QES 12's for what it is that you desire.

Fi subs get loud but retain great sound quality. Other subs to consider are the Image Dynamics Q and Max series.

Current setup (in progress) Sony XNV-660BT, Image Dynamics CTX65cs, Image Dynamics Q450.4, 12" Fi SSD
Currently looking for a sub stage amplifier. 500-800watts x 1 @ 2 ohm

Im going to go with alpine this time around. Now need to make up my mind if i should use 2 12 type r's or 3 type s 12's. Here is the thing i want to be around 142 db. good news is the car is one of the smallest 4 doors in the world. Its a stylus and im putting the subs in the back seat taking out the back seat building a fiber glass box and walling off the trunk so no sound pressure will be lost that way. I used to have a type r about 6 to 7 years ago like 3 gen's back. loved the sound but one wasn't loud enough.

i have their Q model. gets decently loud but still has great SQ if you put it in the right box..

*edit* i used to have 2 12 inch type R's in a sealed box and switched from that to the 1 ten inch Fi Q in a T-line box tuned to 32 hz and it is much louder and better souding than the two type R's
