I've been a lurker for a while here, gathered a lot of information and finally came up with some ideas for my first build on my toyota corolla 2003.
It's a two way plus sub setup. I want to keep everything looking as stealth and stock as possible because car theft is an issue around here. I also plan to install it myself.
Head unit: Alpine CDA 117, with PXA-h100 imprint. (I bought and installed the HU already, need to buy the processor)
Amplifier: Alpine mrx v70 (5ch, 60x4 + 250x1)
Tweeters: SEAS Prestige 27TFFNC/G (H1396) 1" Textile Dome Tweeter. I read some good things about them in here and they're perfect for my A-pillars. Will be drilling some holes to flush fit them in there.
Subwoofer: Will take suggestions here or perhaps need to do some more reading, but basically what I want is a 10-12inch subwoofer that will fit in a small sealed box and will perform well for the power I'll have available.
Suggestions/criticism are very welcome. My budget is around US$700-800; I listen to all kinds of music (merengue, salsa, rock, ska, reggae... you name it).
Thanks in advance.

Reason: clicked on post by mistake..
I've been reading alot of good things in here about these drivers: Silver Flute W17RC38-04 ohm 6-1/2" Wool Cone, though I didn't find a comparison between them and the peerless drivers above. For half the price they look like a better option for me, what do you think?
