Default Recommendations for SQ Front Stage Components?

Looking into purchasing a good set of SQ components for my front stage. What are some recommendations you guys can make? I'm not looking for loudness, looking for audiophile mids and highs. I listen to EVERYTHING so I need something that can keep up.

I have a new set of the Infinity Kappa 60.9cs. I hear they are no good though...

We can call the budget, ahh $300 maybe $400.

The amplifier that I plan on using will more then likely be the CDT Audio SQA-4075. Unless someone knows something about this amp and would recommend otherwise.

Thank you for all your help.

3-400 is a very nice budget to start with. I think you can get mid level Morels or Hertz HSK's or even a used MLK set if your lucky. A few other suggestions, Hybrid, Focal and the new Illusions

I would be careful on Hybrid audio, the L6se's are a big win though.
Mids are above average.
Tweets aren't so great.

I dropped a ton of doe on a legatia SE set. I did much better with some phd drivers (for 1/2 the cost).

Current high fidelity RCA pricing:
17'-62$/ 12'-55$/ 6'-48$

I speak the truth because I care...

So for the hybrids everything is good but their tweeters? Just trying to make sure i understood you.

everyone has their opinions, nothing wrong with the HAT tweeters, they're just expensive. but all of the setups i've heard with any of the legatia tweeters have sounded very nice

i think a lot of people would say so. however, i think gear is not even half the battle; installation and tuning is where SQ is attained.

^^^^^ This!!! I swear I don't know how many times I've seen senseless debates to full blown arguments breakout simply over what brands supposedly define and/or represent SQ. I'm sure there's inherent qualities to be found amongst the names commonly thrown about. However, as stated in Shutmdown's verse, the installation & tuning will have a far greater effect in the end. The best you can do with "certain" drivers is get the better usable, on/off-axis, & distortion response possible, yet there is no promise in any of them if it doesn't meet the needs of the particular acoustic environment as well as user's tastes to create such.

I assume you're looking for a 6.5" setup? If you could use 5.25s I've got a set of Boston Acoustics Pro50SEs that I'd be glad to part with, they're phenomenal components that were $600ish new, but well under your budget now.

I totally agree with the fact that no system will sound good un tuned. I want to know what is a good quality component set that will sound good tuned properly for SQ.

Undeniably the JBL MS set is probably the most simple solution and can be had for cheap if through here in the classifieds or savinglots.
