This is an unique size driver that will fit in just about any vehicle. Enclosure requirement is small enough to make it suitable in many installs. Powering it with 600wrms will yield very nice output. This is a big plus for for stock alt guys.
I have not found any genre that the 13W6 will not reproduce accurately. Too many instances I here of sub systems that excel in one area and lack in another. This probably has alot to do with enclosure design but all in all the 13W6 has my vote.
That`s very nice indeed! Wouldn`t satisfy my SPL though.
I understand your point of view!
But after thinking about it I went to get some Bass Tones and Music to test for fun....
I have never been a Fan of these BASS songs and definitely the i6SW doesn't sound/performs these tracks like two 12" woofers in trunk, but... I actually enjoyed the music, to my surprised I would like to use some of these tracks to show off my little 6.5" subwoofer!
My system may not blow your ears, but it will sweeten your senses. Mercedes Benz CLA 250, Pioneer P-99, IDQ12d4v3 Subwoofer, ... ID min Horns, 6.5" Midbass!
A $50 subwoofer in a well-engineered box will outperform a $500 subwoofer in a mediocre box.
For the most part, a subwoofer is just a piston that moves air. Pick the one with the most displacement for the least money.
I have some threads on this at my forum (forum.audiopsychosis.com)
The best sub will generally be the one with the most displacement. A flat BL curve and a big amplifier helps a lot.
In principle it would be quite simple to waste the surplus labour of the world by building temples and pyramids, by digging holes and filling them up again, or even by producing vast quantities of goods and then setting fire to them. (Orwell)
