If money is not an issue Dyn1200 is a great pick along with Morel Ultimo.
Dyn will perform great in 1 cu.ft I suppose with F3 around 40.

Another great sub that's interesting is Shiva-x2 as it replaces the Shiva-x.

IDW15 will work in a 1.1-1.5cu' sealed or 2-2.5cu' ported box. A couple have been for sale on here recently as well.

I like your thought there. There is a great chance any sub I put in there will be AP vented outside the vehicle. I have always had good luck with AP on the back of subs....sounds amazing....a little under the radar.

You can do the same thing w/most subs that have a qts <.35 or so. Larger subs like idw15 & usd 15pro b work exceptionally well in these apps. and have more energy behind them.

WOW some awesome recomendations here! I will add my short list of my fav 5 (no order)
Pioneer Premier ts-w12prs

Nakamichi SP-W1200d (if you can find one, mine will have to get pried from my cold dead hands)

JBL GTI any size if you can fit it.

Boston Acoustics G5 (kinda off the radar but could be exactly what your looking for)

Oz 300l (superman logo?)

About 10 others that I love have already been mentioned so I wont

Also the phoenix gold titanium elite sub that someone pointed out is an absolutely awesome sounding woofer. I think it was about 1.2 or so sealed but needs some juice! Again if you have the room awesome! SO many good choices.......

i would so love to try an esotar but right now i cant afford it and if i did have the cash id rather upgrade my front stage to esotars instead of doing the sub first - i have tried an ultimo and to be honest i preferred the JBL GTI series but everyone has different taste

system still a work in progress :Alpine CDA-9887, SPL Dynamics S-7006, Dynaudio MW162, Dynaudio MD102, SPL Dynamics S-4002, 2 X Resonant Engineering REx10d4 subwoofers

Sorry, if it falls into the "good sounding" category then so does the IDQ. I say the IDQ, because its the only sub off your list I have any hands on experience with. Yet caraudiomag goes as far to give it the same (90/100) rating as the Morel Ultimo, so I would hope to think my opinion isn't completely biased.

Go ahead and ask on here, but I don't think many will consider a JLW6 a sq sub. I had one in my car that I replaced for the iDQ. The JL sub is nice, but not geared toward a sq setup. I actually read that review car audio mag did which is why I bought the JL...but there is no way the W6 and Ultimo are in the same category, even if the mag says it is. I did like the iDQ better than the JL, but I agree with you and that is why I am looking for better.

I would definitely take about 8-10 subs over the w6 but I absolutely feel it deserves mention in this list, and it is geared towards sq!

It is a great upper mid level sub that can deliver nice sq and spl, but does not have the ability to integrate like the other woofers. I'm not trying to say your stuff is bad at all, and I appreciate your response and opinion, just trying to find the highest elite level.
