Default Ultimate SQ Sub - PLEASE VOTE :)

Just what it says. I am collecting opinions on the best SQ sub. I currently own an iDQ10v2 and looking to possibly blend a little better and get a little more upfront bass. I have a small enclosure requirement with a max enclosure size of less then 1 cu ft and only 1 sub. Thanks in advance for all your thoughts and opinions.

My system currently consists of:
Pioneer P9 Combo
Dynaudio MD130 Tweeters
Dynaudio Esotar2 430 Midrange
Dynaudio MW182 Midbass
Image Dynamics iDQ10v2 Subwoofer

SPL is of no concern from me . SQ is all that matters. I guess you could also add the Critical Mass UL12 or DIYMA Reference.

It seems to me that there is a possible problem with balance in your system. I would think that a three way front stage would need more than one sub in a "small" sealed enclosure to keep up, no?...

Seeing that you are running all dynaudio, stick with it. Not much room to work with.

Maybe a sub that requires a small enclosure used in conjunction with a passive radiator.

The sub is side loaded in a Pontiac Firebird...produces tons of bass. My 1 iDQ10v2 at a USACi show where we had to SPL did a 134db windows up on windshield with a 200 watt amp.

What he probably meant is, since you already run three way Dynaudio, why not run one of their subs? You did mention you want a sub that blends-in better than the one you are using. Seems logical to me.

Try the IDQ10v3. Sound just as clean and deep as the v2 but more power handling and output.

Will the Dyn Esotar 1200 work in 1 ft^3? If SPL isn't a concern and you want a great SQ driver that will blend easily with your front stage and work in those airspace constraints it sounds like you've almost perfectly described the DIYMA R12. A 1 ft^3 sealed box is a great match with that sub IMHO and IME. It also reduces the pressure inside the box that has been the #1 cause of ripped cones on the R12.
