Default Dodge/Chrysler aftermarket HU and back-up sensors

Hey guys I just installed a new Pioneer DD Hu into a '09 Dodge Ram that has factory back-up sensors. With the OEM HU, when the backup sensors detected something the radio muted, but now wtih the new head unit it doesn't. There is a mute wire coming from the pioneer deck but not one from the PAC wiring harness that I can tell. Anyone have any experience with this?

Thanks,
Chuck

I have some ideas how to make this work, but really not sure. The BU sensor lights up and makes a audible alert when it detects something. I'm thinking of tapping into that with a relay and then running a wire to the HU's mute wire, but I'm not sure if that would work.

This safety feature has saved my ass many times, and I really don't want to give it up.

If the B/U system has its own separate audible sound, you can use a relay to output a negative trigger to the decks mute wire thats activated by the trucks the reverse light.

That way any time the truck is in reverse, the radio is automatically muted so u can hear the back up beeper thingy.

I actually have a factory BU camera and I needed a $30 PAC cable with about 30 wires ( only used one) to make it work!
