Guys, I'm really confused, I don't know what component should I choose, I went to the SQ level and I want something perfect for my new great vehicle MB CLK.
I bought everything but i still need a 6.5 comp,
AMP is McIntosh MC4000M and I want to bridge the 4x100 to power the comp.
I would like to choose from:
DLS UP6i
HERTZ HSK165
BUT
If the HERTZ MLK165 will worth the double HSK and UP6i price, I can save some cash and buy it.
I can get the
HSK165 for 250$
UP6i for 220$
MLK165 for cheap 480$
So what do u think
Plz Plz advice, I hope i'll enjoy SQ

where u going through to get dls and hertz? 6spd (don) id look into dls iridium to tell u the truth, should be around 500 for IR 6.2 set i believe.
But I believe in quality and i hear the difference between lower lvl and higher lvl so id go with IR 6.2 or the MKL165, i havnt heard the MLK but i hear they terrific, but i love the IR 6.2 sound and would go with them.
how well your first SQ install lives up to its title will depend on what you do with the gear you have rather than what you pick. Dont get me wrong, especially the speakers you choose will have an enormous impact on the sound, but to have a discussion like it is the be-all, end-all without discussing where its gonna go is only half the story.
Especially the choices you are mulling over, which all have the potential to sound wonderful, assuming sufficient time is spent designing the frame of the install.
Here is my advice. There are no doubts whatsoever that physical constraints from a given desired install WILL limit your options. Maybe one set has a 6.5 that is 4 inches deep and you only want to put in the effort to fit a 2.5 inch deep speaker. Or the hole in the door is 5 inches and you decided you didnt want to cut metal to house the ferrite motor midrange with a 5.5" diameter magnet.
The install plan can often help narrow down gear choices by default, and I especially caution against picking some gear and getting your heart REALLY set on it to discover they dont fit where you thought you were going to put them.
I looked at the deep before and all of the mentioned comp will fit, But i was thinking today about buying something fits easly and then i can do better install .. This is a good point
I would go with either the DLS Iridiums or DLS Nobeliums. Very nice and open sounding tweeters. You just can't beat the smooth and laid back sound of DLS speakers. The Hertz speakers are not too bad either, but I prefer DLS over them. Depending on you car, if you could do a DLS Iridium 6.3 setup, I would recommend that.
I've been running a DLS Iridium 6.3 for the past two years and couldn't have been happier. I DLS Iridium 6.2 set is not bad either, I had that before I went 3-way. Stage was pretty wide and tonality was very good still, but imaging was a little bit off, due to no T/A and no EQing.
I am really confused now, I want someone who has an experience of the
IR6.2 , HSK , MLK
to tell me what to choose
I wouldn't listen to what you read on here. I'd send a pm to Don and see wtzup. The best thing to do would be to find someone who has them a similar car, then you will know if YOU like them.
