Firstly, I did a search and read all 22 results, but I'm still unclear on this.
Is it a bad idea to run this amp on two 4 Ohm subs (300 watt rms rating) wired to 2 Ohms?...will I cook the amp?
or, should I run 1 amp to each channel at 4 Ohm? and lose a few watts?
Though it's stated on the label on the bottom that it is stable to 2 ohm bridged on all PRS-X amps, I DO NOT recommend it.
I've seen/had at least 4 or 5 PRS-X720 with blown caps at 2 ohm mono.
Well, though it's got the caps blown, it still work, but weak.
I did ran my 340 in 2 ohm mono on channel 1 - 2 for 3 days, no prob.
