» Privacy Policy
There is a lot of info in this little section, but please avoid the temptation to scroll passed it all.
This section is here to inform and protect you. Please read it!
Registration to this forum is free, but members may choose to upgrade their membership to gain extra permissions, and special access to enhance their DIYMA experience.
Here are some basic guide lines to follow while contributing to this site:

Be Welcoming!
Please welcome newcomers to our community. Our senior members have a wealth of knowledge to share, but so do many of our new members. Just because they signed up yesterday, does not mean they are not as skilled or as insightful as our most experienced members. Remember, members come to DIYMA with very different levels of experience. We all have to learn somewhere.

Be Courteous! Personal attacks and insults or attacks and insults based on race, ethnicity, faith or gender will not be tolerated. This includes racist, sexist and xenophobic comments and slurs. DIYMA welcomes everyone. If you believe it is your right to ridicule or demean any group of people, DIYMA is not for you. Expressing divisive and intolerant views is grounds for an immediate and permanent ban from this forum.
We welcome you to challenge others' points of view, to encourage debate and forward thinking, and to state your opinions, but please do so respectfully and thoughtfully - without insults and personal attacks. The DIYMA community values the free expression of ideas.

Be Appropriate!
There are plenty of forums and websites where explicit, obscene or vulgar images or behavior is acceptable or tolerated, however the DIYMA is not one of them. Threads containing offensive or questionable content will be deleted and may results in a ban of the member posting such material.

Be Cautious!
Think before you post or speak: Do you really want to put your address or telephone number on a public discussion forum where it will be visible to anyone in the world? We encourage you to keep personal information personal. With respect to others, do not ask anyone else to disclose their personal information either. Forum posts that ask members to submit personal information to another party will be removed. Information that should be considered personal includes but is not limited to your home phone number, name, and age. If you must give this out for any reason, please do so privately.

Spamming, Trolling, Competitive Recruitment & Multiple User names
DIYMA is a “for profit” website. We have an advertising program for vendors that wish to present their message to our audience. If you wish to use this forum to promote your product or service, you must first be approved by DIYMA admin. You can do so by sending an email to us by clicking here.

Advertising in the forum, in the shoutbox, or in your user signature without permission of the DIYMA owners is strictly prohibited and may result in a ban, in which case all membership funds contributed will not be reimbursed.
Trolling is also prohibited. If you have signed up to this forum to bring it or any of its members or vendors down, you will be banned.

Competitive Recruitment is also prohibited. If you signed up to DIYMA just to entice our members to join another competing website, If you are only caught head hunting our members you will be banned.

Only one user name per person is allowed. We do not tolerate forum trolls and will not hesitate to publicly announce the alternate ego of any member that has more than one account under different user names.

No Abuse of PM
Private Messaging is provided to the members of the DIYMA as a service intended to enhance the community experience. The purpose of private messaging is to allow for discreet conversations to take place between members. This privilege is not to be abused! Solicitation, spamming, or harassment of any kind is strictly forbidden. Any member receiving an inappropriate private message should forward that message to an Administrator or Moderator right away. Although private messages are traditionally only accessible by those who send and receive them, they are part of our database and as such, property of DIYMA. The owner of this site, if so inclined, can easily search through the logs and read these messages via our “Read PM” modification. They are private, but not necessarily secret. In addition, Private Messages may be read when trying to control Spamming, or Trolling.
