I don't have a HAT setup.

How is the Focal "stronger"? Can you give me parameters?
This is really where understanding the data becomes useful... if you know what makes it "stronger" you can compare that to the other drivers tested and get a better feel for how they perform based on what you like.

Stronger midbass and a tweeter that almost resembles the MBQuart tweeters, but not so harsh.

The main problem is that to listen to any SQ equipment I would have to travel about 300miles because in my State noone cares much about SQ.

Erin, quick question.

I just got a pair of CSS SDX7. I'm pretty sure these are rare and I have a fresh pair you can test. The only problem is that I need to install them soon. Is there a way you can squeeze in a quick test? The other drivers I don't care, I'll have them for a bit more I think.

Here's some porn. Maybe it will convince you. I do have my ways.

I'm really curious as to whether the suspension can hold that motor down.

Can you test them in 3-4 days once you get them?

Yea. That shouldn't be a problem.

Can you cover shipping both ways? If not, we'll have to get some forum help.

Also, make sure you read the OP and the link provided. It's more of a disclaimer. I'll do my best to take care of the driver but I can't guarantee 100% that something won't happen and due to that I won't take responsibility for it (unless I just happen to drop it down a flight of stairs). Again, I don't foresee it being an issue but it's something you need to be aware of.
For your driver, I'll set the protection limits pretty high and send/post the data. If you want me to go further after that, then you can let me know.

I can cover shipping both ways. PM me your address and PayPal. How about we set the protection limits at 35% BL, 35% CMS. If you hear it bottom out before that set them accordingly. If they brake on the bench then so be it I don't want them in my car anyway.

I'll pay for insurance on shipping both ways just in case, easier for you and me.

I can send you the tweeters too. You can test those whenever and ship them separately.

I'm not sure about tweeters just yet. TBH, those are a lot less 'robust' if I happen to make a goof in the software. IOW, I'm not comfortable testing tweeters that belong to someone else... yet.

I'll send my info over. Looking forward to seeing them. Next weekend should be a good time for me to get it done.

I would really like to see a cheap OEM speaker or two tested. It would really put the high-end drivers you've tested in perspective. I would be willing to donate my factory 3" and 5-1/4" stock speakers, they sound atrocious and I'm curious to see exactly how bad the distortion and frequency response is.

Thanks for all the data you've provided so far, it's been very helpful

I just want to put this out there. I would be willing to ship one of my SLS 6.5 in the doors to Erin for testing if the forum somehow donates shipping money. That is realistically the best way to test drivers since we don't have to buy them per se. My drivers or anybody else's drivers, I think however that the SLS 6.5 is very popular on this site and would be killer to see if it's the king of the hill 7" midbass.

There are lots of cool speakers Erin could test, like the TC sounds ubber subs but unless one of us has the desired driver it just remains a wish list. Thinking along the lines of covering shipping would be more realistic to get drivers to Erin. The owner has an investment in that he can't use his speaker for a while and he risks damage due to shipping or testing and the forum invests in shipping costs.

I'm all for chipping in on shipping, but is Erin back to running tests yet? I thought he was trying to sell his house?
