This was my last build prior to the Ram. I loved this car and was proud of the build.

Stock HU with custom made wiring harness built to send balanced differential signal to DSP
AudioControl DQL-8 DSP
AudioControl DQL-8 wired controller
Alpine PDX 400X4
Alpine PDX 600X1
Memphis 6.5” Components up front (later replaced by Alpine Type X Pro’s)
Memphis Coaxials in rear doors
Alpine Type R 12 - sealed enclosure

Default Re: 2006 Acura TSX (my old school build)

This was my one experiment in using a sealed subwoofer enclosure in a vehicle. It was nice for SQ, but never really made me happy. Due to the amp rack and the way the sub enclosure completely closed off the trunk, I left the factory speaker locations on the rear deck open to allow the low frequencies easier access to the inside of the car. The sub was little under powered at 600 watts, but I believe the output would have been better with a vented sub. I knew next to zero about proper SQ at this point, so the car was never properly tuned. It's a shame too because I believe it had SQ potential with the DQL-8. That had to be the most under-utilized DQL-8 to have ever existed, but it looked cool...LOL.
