The L4s and L8s are hopefully to be out in a month. The warranty on HAT drivers is one year from date of purchase.
Thanks B-Squad for the kind words.

the word around the campfire is that in dashes and pillars, the L3 is best suited. The L4 is able to play lower, has more output, and the phase plug has helped clean things up as well.

That's the impression I got from their forum.

No crossovers with these. Now if you want a passive crossover, we can build you one.

So what do these speakers compare to? I had Rainbow Platinums active, but sold them Biggest mistake I ever made!!! I'm interested in the 2 way component set or maybe just the driver. I might pickup a set of Rainbow Cal28's. I love those tweeters

crxsir121:

The Cal28 is a really nice tweeter... one of the best sounding I have heard...

It is really difficult to compare the Cal28 to the Legatia L1. They are very different tweeters. The Cal is designed to play pretty low, they are crossed over at 2200hz. The L1 is designed to play to around 5000hz or higher. It is a true high frequency driver. The L1 is designed to allow the midbass/midrange to provide the majority of the audible range - a point source if you will.

The Legatia L6 driver is VERY robust and controlled. The two-way set is wonderful ! We set-up the Acura CL with the L6's in the factory door locations and the L1 in the A-pillars with GREAT success ! I can best describe the sound as Naturally Powerful. The L6 will actually play down to 30hz with realism and authority.

I'll give you my personal opinion. I have used a LOT of speakers over the years - Dynaudio, Focal Expert, Rainbow, CDT, SEAS, Morel.... and the list could go on... Hands down, the Legatia Series are the best drivers I have personally used. Their designed use simply makes sense, they follow the accepted theories of sound reproduction.

If I can help you in the future or answer any othe questions, please feel free to contact me !
