Even for HT, 4 of these beasts in a manifold in the wall or ceiling would be serious, and in a car...

Power is pretty cheap these days.

Plus I could meet you tomorrow half way if you are still in Charlotte...that way you could have it in and installed by the end of the weekend .

I know power is cheap but I have some older Audison VRx amps I am unwilling to part with. 250 watts into 8ohms doesn't make me feel all warm and fuzzy.

If they were 4 ohm I would come right to you and pick one up, you're pretty close.

Someone take these! You get the Apollo upgrade for basically the price of the standard motor, plus you don't have to wait for AE to build them.

I have posted this over on PE Tech Talk Forum, DIY Audio, and AVS Form with the pictures I do have. And there are a few pictures on my Facebook page of the 15s as well.

Don't be scared they are 8 ohm nominal drivers...we use 8 ohm drivers a lot over here, and no one has had much issue with them for other applications.

Maybe I should link that thread about 8 ohm drivers from npdang...?

Nice drivers. Can't say I'm not tempted. I have a single IB15AU8 that I haven't installed yet. Two SBP15's would definitely be an upgrade.

Not only SBPs, but with the extra $150 (per driver) Apollo upgrades too.

DCR on the couple that I have checked are in the 6.2 range, so a pair of them would get you a 4 ohm nominal load before box rise.

are you willing to hold off these amazing subs due to old amp?
or buy both, wire in parallel and enjoy for the next 20 years or until that audison dies, then get a proper amp for them.
