Default WTB: One or Two Amps for Active Setup

Looking for one or two amps that can drive a sub around 1kw at 2ohm and power Peerless Nomex 6.5". Must have bandpass x-overs for the Nomex and a highpass for tweeters.

This is a budget build for a friend who just blew his sub amp. I donated the woofers and tweeters to get him started. Budget is $300 USD or less. As long as it functions within the set parameters I don't care what it is.

Let me know what junk you have!

Sounds like you'd need a Memphis Belle or something like that. Off the top of my head, that's one of the few amps I can think of with the kind of Sub power you're looking for.

Good luck!

Try offer up, the app, they usually have some real cheap junk for like 50 bux. Sometimes some decent amps for a 100.

I've been looking locally but in my area there isn't much. Mostly mono amps or multi channels with no x-overs. It doesn't need to be just one amp, we can do two.

In my daughters car she has ppi 1600.4's. They can be had on eBay around 100 shipped. I don't have anything bad to say about them. They work quite well. I believe channel 3&4 can bandpass up to 4500.

Kicker refurb cx1200.1 is around 170 on ebay.

270 could have your friend up and running. Nothing special but not terrible either

The 600.2 is about 120, the 900.4 about 165, and the 1000.1 is about 160. I've been trying to get him to do the combo and call it a day but it is as difficult as getting him to even upgrade from just a sub in the first place
