Default McIntosh bass knob

Since I listen to such a wide range of music that I often need to adjust the bass like when I go from Nero to Joe Walsh or Like when I go from Body On Me to Yes Big Generator. I dont like the cumbersome way to adjust from the deck and I see McIntosh has a bass knob for my amp. Problem is I cant find one anywhere. Been waiting over 2 months for the knob for my Mosconis and hope to be able to locate the Macs knob a bit quicker. LOL

Anyone have any idea where I can find one?

Why not a volume pot on the inputs?

I'm using this:

http://www.amazon.ca/METRA-CAR-AUDIO.../dp/B003FPD3IS

Still worth $20 if it doesn't work

Because I am not sure where the DSP is hidden and dont want to tear it all apart to find it. That and I have this thing about adding stuff inline on RCAs. I would prefer to use the one designed for the amp.

It is a gain pot that goes from 0-50000 ohms, it will not add more gain than is already set at the amp. Seems like a fair shot in the dark.

It works cleanly between my MS8 outputs and the input to my JBL 1201.1

Exactly right,50K dual pot, audio taper, not linear.
$6.38 On Amazon prime is no brainer.
I`m not sure what bass knob does on macs level control or bass adjustment I have only one 6ch mac in my possession and it doesn`t have either.

Well gents after you and a dozen others all said the same thing I figured that was the route I would go. Well I found my DSP by accident tonight and its in the back of the trunk. Now way I am going to run an RC look that long just for a bass knob. Guess I will just have to keep searching.

EDIT: Although I guess I can use one of those Audio Control MFCs or whatever they are called now. Lotta money for a remote thuough.

This would be PERFECT if it was just a remote gain. It still may fill my needs though. The older music I like is usually just lacking kick in the 40-70hz range and these center at 45hz. I used to love the Punch EQ.
Its cheap enough, may just have to go that route.

I know old post but have you found something that worked? Like another brand maybe clarion? Or you just keep the line driver? How did that work out?
