Default Helix DSP.3.

Can anyone tell me if this is out yet. I found it here on eBay for 549. I see it listed in the helix software but no where else.

I don't think there is any dealers near me. The dealer page just shows a distributor in Tempe az. I take it that's where the US dealers get there inventory. Is that price on eBay right? Or should I say what can you sell it for? What's retail? I really want one, need to come up with some money.

The price on ebay is from some graymarket company in austria or italy. anything you get from them in unauthorized. MSC America is the US distributor and is located in Tempe. Call them and they can set you up with a local dealer. If they dont have a dealer near you, im here.

I feel like 10 bands of eq is barely not enough for my midbass. But I'm still learning. Someone like you could probably get a better tune than I can at the moment.

I talked to you about that before. Your the one who made me want the helix. I might take you up on that. Mostly so I can learn and see what you do different than me.

I'm pretty eager. The only other person I know that's into car audio is one of my older brothers. He has way better stuff than me but the other day he said my stereo is the best he's heard. It's okay, but I know it could be better without buying any more equipment.

Yes true enough. I really hoped real center was going to be made available for the dsp.2, but is what it is.. pretty unlikely I'll add a center anyway .

I had no idea this was a thing until just reading this now!

I know very well about remote engine tuning, but never heard about remote DSP tuning. That's pretty darn cool!

It's easy and straightforward and is a nice "lesson" for the person having it done, being able to see every adjustment that's made and why

I may just take you up on that one of these days when I get my DSP.2 up and running... If I'm not happy with what I come up with on my own.

With that being said, I've have quite good success with my dbx Driverack Venu360 on one of my active home systems. That unit is nowhere near as flexible as the Helix however.

I'm using the auto EQ in rew. It usually wants about 10 for my midbass. At least with 1/6 octave. I set it up so it won't go over 10. But if I rerun it and it needs anything more I'm done.

i find the auto eq to be not so great in the midbass region.

That's good to know. Where do you stop using heavy eq. How low do you go.

StageXpander + RealCenter?

I'm guessing StageXpander is some stereo width plug-in to smear the stage a bit.

I'm hoping RealCenter is true 5.1/7.1 stereo upmixing done proper. I don't doubt AudioFischer's ability to implement but would love some feedback from any 5.1 folks here.
