Default resistor quality

im collecting all the little parts for installation in my jeep grand cherokee and one of those parts is the load resistors as i'll be using the factory 8.4 uconnect. i see tons of resistors out there, and from what i've seen the price can be quite different. the rating that's been recommended is 5 w 47 ohm. my question is, for this application should i go least expensive or is there value in getting a more expensive set of resistors?

changes coming....

For putting a load on your factory amp I don't think it matters. As long as it can handle the power it's taking without overheating and increasing the ohm rating I'm pretty sure it doesn't matter.

Have you looked at using a ampro 4. My brother has a Dodge and he just got one in. He hasn't hooked it up yet but from what I've heard it's the easiest way to get a good clean signal.

Default Re: resistor quality

The wirewound resistor with a ceramic case should be better.... maybe something like a digikey 47W-10-ND (Yageo SQP10AJB-47R, happens to be a 10w type here).
