Default Constant tweaking

Bought myself a Bit Ten, pair of decent Focal speakers and a new amp a couple of weeks ago.

OMG I totally underestimated the endless permutations and variables involved in setting up gains, EQ, crossovers, levels, time alignment etc etc!

Does the need to constantly tweak and mess with the settings ever go away? I just can't seem leave it alone 😆

I know it never will for me. I'm not tuning for 3 days that means I'm pretty happy.

when system is set to its optimum (X-O, TA, EQ/gains) you will just enjoy it and if anything you will maybe change sub level up or down a bit, and that would be all

You keep saying...”after this next upgrade it will be perfect”. “I can just set it and leave it”. We humans sure enjoy lying to ourselves.

This, once you get it right and you are happy with it, then you can leave it alone.

Yup, this is how I am. I go for months at a time without touching a thing in the processor itself. I have decent basic tuning ability in my headunit but that rarely gets touched either with the exception of the sub going up or down a click or two here and there depending on music and mood. My 3-way front is about as good as it's gonna get for my tastes and install goals. Sub changes a couple times a year whether it be the sub itself or just the box. This is just because it's the easiest thing to change and it scratches the itch to keep me from dicking with anything else. I'll tell you what though, my system sounds AMAZING after listening to $10 earbuds at work for 4-5 hours each night. I use cheap Walmart specials because I like how they fit my ears, they're somewhat acceptable sonically, and I treat my earbuds like crap.
