Default Subwoofer Ground Issue

I puy two 12 in subs and an amp in my car. I taped speaker wires so I use high input into the amp. The signal has Left +/- and Right +/- and ground. I have my ground hooked up to a bolt in the trunk. I have tested it and this is a clean ground. Imma remote turn of wire is from a fuse tap that only turns on with ignition. When I start my car the subs play a quick thump every 5ish seconds regardless of if music is or isn’t playing. When I go to the trunk while the car is on and disconnect the ground for a few seconds then reconnect it the subs suddenly start working perfectly. I don’t know how to fix this. Please help.
