Default Looking for CAD file to print Dyn 430 baffle

I’d like to make some baffles/ mounting rings for my Dyn 430 speakers:

I’d typically just use the profile bit on my router to copy them to a piece of plastic, but I’d rather not take any chances of damaging these.

My local library has a a brand new 3D printer that can print up to 5”x5”x5”.

Does anyone either have a file that would allow me to print the Dyn 430 speaker baffle, or know how I might go about finding the file online?

Thanks!

I have it somewhere on my home computer...I'll try to find it this evening and post back.

Meantime, you might try contacting Emilios at Dynaudio 12v sales in Illinois at 630-238-4200 and inquire if he can email you the file.

If you email me the dxf I'll make a solid for you and email it to you. I'll include some extra space inside since the 3d print will probably be oversize, aka some extra tolerance. What outside shape do you want? Just a circle?

Thanks!

The dxf file is here: https://www.dynaudio.com/media/2568/...contourdxf.zip (I’d be glad to email it, I just don’t have your email).

I’d like the outside to follow the profile of the speaker - with protrusions for each screw hole and the name plate on the bottom.

Thanks again!

I’ll pm you my email as well.

Not sure it would help in this case, but @flgfish made some speaker adapters for his 911

OP, sorry I can't seem find the CAD file that I was looking for.

If you download the dfx file from Dynaudio, there ARE ways to convert them to stl files.

The easiest way would be to use fusion 360 and extrude the 2d image. You also need modeling software for this situation because you need a hole in the center for the speaker basket (which isn’t included in the dxf). Then fusion models can be saved in the stl format.

Fusion 360 is nice for hobbyist since it has 3D printing and CAM built in, all for a decent price. I highly recommend it.

Big thanks to Alex (WhereAmEye?) for creating a custom file for me to 3D print!

I really appreciate it Alex. Hopefully the good Karma you earned here pays off when you’re in need.

Thanks again!
