Default 2014 bmw f30 audio upgrade

I have a 2014 bmw f30 car with the Harmon Kardon audio system and I am disappointed with it. I am seeking ideas to upgrade the audio. Do I start with the speakers? Any component upgrade should more or less be a building block for the future.

Fosgate has announced these speakers: T3-BMW1.
Focal has IFBMW-S
There is also Gladden that has speakers and subwoofer.

Looking forward to your inputs.

Congrats on the purchase of the new vehicle. First off what is it that you don't like about the current sound system? Is it not loud enough, too muddy sounding, staging is off ? With a baseline of what you have we can then help towards getting you what you want.

Thank you. The mid bass/bass is muddy and there is a lack of definition over all.

I am comparing it to my current car which has excelon 996 head unit, HSK 165xl up front Morel coax 6x9 rear, Pheonix Gold ti21600.5 amp and Dayton Audio RSS315HO-44 in a sealed box in the trunk.
