I've had the DLS Ultimate, and the Morel Hybrid Ovation, along with Morel Dotech.

The DLS were spectacular. I found nothing wrong with them at all. They reminded me of Rainbow Germaniums, but with a bit less midbass. Still had wonderful detail with bass guitar, piano, stand up bass, things like that, but not that punch in the chest thump like the Germanium did.

The Morel Hybrid Ovation I would do again over the DLS if given a choice. Midbass was very similar, but the tweeter was what really shines. Being able to drop that bad boy down to 2kHz if desired really helped bring the stage height up more. And I've never heard a percussion "snap" like with Morel.

Used CDT in the past, don't have much bad to say about them, as long as you can afford the ES line. Anything less than that, pass on it. Only experience I've had with Focal is the Polyglass, and well. Focal does have a reputation about their tweeters I think they are trying to shake with the new Flax line. Hearing good things about them.

Very good information chihead
With my Morel Hybrid Ovation I can say I have not explored crossing the MT-22 tweeters that low for long, when I did it seemed like I was missing or not hearing as much the frequencies above 10khz, I think I failed to EQ more beyond that range. With the biampable passive crossovers, I seemed to enjoy smoother sound than with active pass, maybe tuning limitations or lack of lower crossing with active passing failed to match the passive sound.

The midbass has been smooth and detailed, and they handle way more power than rated and got loud SQ, I'm afraid to let them go now that I'm ready to sell them. Even though I could not compare them with many others as you did, owning others and listening to them for several hours, I hope I don't regret selling them as I plan to do. Even though the midbass was not crazy strong, it was easy to tune with several subs I used, and I could hear and feel all bass and mid bass at front.
