Default Round 2!!! 2010 Matrix

Hi everyone,

Been a long time since I've been on this forum - you guys helped me choose my equipment for my 2006 Saab 93 and I'm ever so grateful.

I've since sold the beauty and now drive my wife's old 2010 Matrix....

It's a base model and needs some pizzazz in the sound area (since that's the only area that is worth upgrading)

I was very content with my previous system, except that after 2 years I had weird hissing coming out of one of the speakers that would sometimes go away after hitting a big bump in the road:
Deck - Pioneer deh-x9500bhs - Crap bluetooth voice calls
Speaker Amp - Pioneer GM-D8604
Mids/Highs - JBL P660c - very strong mids, needed good tuning then was great
Rear Deck - Pioneer P963 6x9's - good once tuned correctly. Bass was weak with sub off.
Sub Amp - Pioneer GM-D9601
Sub-woofer - Infinity Kappa 120.9w - 1 cu. ft sealed box - nice sound, not over bearing but often wanted more output

What I am looking for now is something with more output in the bass area. I loved how tight a musical it was but when I really wanted to push it - you could hear the woofer struggle sometimes, also the output wasn't as low as I would have liked. While I do listen to Jazz and Rock, I realized that I mostly listen to House Music and the odd Salsa, ABBA, Tenacious D or other random weird stuff.

Trying to do this on the cheap

Requirements:
Deck - Android Auto and fantastic bluetooth/microphone. Previous deck sucked for voice calls [Brand New]
Speakers - It is currently a 4 speaker system but I would like tweeters on the dash as well to have a 6-speaker system [used is preferred]
Subwoofer/box - Ported or not ported? - not boomy where your ears get tired but still able to impress. The Kappa in the sealed box did both of these things well but struggled in the lower end or when I really cranked the system to get a little more, but there was no more, except some physical distortion... [used]
Amps - One for speakers and one for sub [used is ok right?]

Sub and amp will need to be easily removable as I use the car as a utility vehicle often

The only thing this car has going for it is that it is a hatchback - that being said I always drove around with the 60/40 split seat down in the Saab. It increased the output of the low end by like 250%

Thanking you guys in advance

Deck - Pioneer deh-x9500bhs
Speaker Amp - Pioneer GM-D8604, Mids/Highs - JBL P660c, Rear Deck - Pioneer P963 6x9's
Sub Amp - Pioneer GM-D9601, Sub-woofer - Infinity Kappa 120.9w - 1 cu. ft sealed box

Hmm....I'm starting to wonder if I should simply buy the same front components and amp as before and just a different low end set up.

I remember reading the jbl p660c were the bomb and that's why I bought them...

Speaker Amp - Pioneer GM-D8604, Mids/Highs - JBL P660c, Rear Deck - Pioneer P963 6x9's

650c had the Titanium tweeters

They were a great set. Same mid between them as far as I could tell.

DNX 5120, MS-8, Scanspeak Illuminator R3004/6020, Focal 5w2, Morel CAW938, IDMAX12 V3, PPI Ax400's + JBL 1201.1 II

So you're suggesting to forego adding tweeters up top? I notice all the head units these days have a "bring the soundstage up" feature where if you only have door speakers it raises the sound-stage. If it works really well then I guess I could simply get 2-way speakers
