Default What Amp

What's yalls opinion on Arc XDI vs JL XD/HD Series?

I just bought the Helix DSP with Director for source unit.

What would have the better SQ out of both of them!?

I haven't decided yet on speaker but most likely the GS60/GS10 (going active)

Thanks

I haven't heard the Arc, but I liked my JL RD series.

I have installed both - i like the ease of install/size on the jl, but call me old school a little here perhaps but the xdi just feels more formidable. Something about a rigid, well built, heavy chassis on an amp that makes you know it’s not just a cheap tin box.

That said - no issues sound wise with either.

Version 2: Zapco LX 6 A/B for mains, Zapco Z3K D for 12" Sundown Z12 in IB, miniDSP C68 integrated with custom micro to OEM processing and controls...

The XD sounds more open and clear, HD sounds warm and defined but clinical if you know what I mean, the XDI is somewhat similar to the xd but not as dynamic. The JL amps are also better designed with all the controls in one spot vs everywhere on the arc. Just my .02cents.
