Default Jl Audio 500/1 Gain Issue

I notice yesterday the bass from my sub was not playing real loud at full volume. Went to check my amp which is a jl audio 500/1v1 to see if anything was wrong. After messing with the gain on the amp i notice if i place my flat head screw driver down on the gain the bass would get real loud. after taking my flat head screw driver off the gain the bass stop playing loud after a few seconds.

try spraying some deoxit5 into the opening and moving it back and forth 40 or 50 times to work it inside and see if that helps.
