Default What should I do with my 12" MTX Thunder 7000s and 15" MTX Black Gold subs?

Hello, been out of the car audio scene for ten years or so. I've sold off all of my stuff over the years, except for two 12" MTX Thunder 7000s (mostly because I paid so much for them) and my two 15" MTX Black Gold subs. Looking for opinions on what to do with them. I used one 12" for maybe 20 hours playtime in a sealed box, the others are brand new never been played. In fact, the only Black Gold I've heard was the 10" I had in my wife's car back in the 90s. So I don't even know if the 15s are a great speaker, I just impulsively bought them a long time ago.

Can these things be retrofitted for home use? Or should I sell them to someone that can appreciate them? If I did sell them, what is a fair (to me, not just to the buyer) price?

Thanks
Dan

I personally would go with the 7000s. I'm a big fan of that model and the older generation of Thunders. Sure the 15s would be loud... but I'd prefer the cleaner bass from the 12s in comparision.

I use a pair of the old 5000 series 15s (T5158s) as subs in my home system, nothing wrong with going that route if you decide to.

If I'm not mistaken two 12's only have 25% more cone area than a 15. The 15's would get much louder than the 12's, so if you didn't push the 15's very hard they would probably sound pretty clean, not to mention lower. But unless the 15's are sealed, the box would probably be ridiculous.

If I build a set of home speakers, is there a writeup here that talks about using caraudio woofers? I could see myself doing doing a nasty subwoofer box with my 15s, and then building two boxes with woofers and horns.
