Just ordered some Mega Zorbe to line the doors of my pride-n-joy, which will accept at least 2 layers. I was thinking that I could paint a layer of sound deadener, such as Second Skin Spectrum, onto the 1st layer of foam prior to adding the 2nd layer. I certainly am not expecting anything close to the performance of actual Guardian, but I ain't got THAT kind of money.
Just wondering if anyone had any experience with how well stuff would stick to Mega Zorbe, and similarly how well the adhesive on the Mega Zorbe would stick to the spray-on deadener. I read something about vinyl plasticizers leching out of their Speaker Tweakers, I believe it was, causing contact cement to fail and it just has me thinking... Maybe wait a few months to apply the 2nd layer of foam to give the deadener time to fully cure. I don't know, just thinking out loud...
Edit: Found that adhesion promotor. It was for tape, but may be useful...
