I went down this road…. Aucdicontrol D.1200 to active front, ML280 & ML1600.2 with the other two channels going to OEM alpine speakers in my JKU. If someone made a affordable amp that was 50-75x2 + 150x4 then that’s where I would of gone. But I couldn’t find a staggerd amp to fit where I need it (under seats) and in my budget.

      gains are turned way down….
I don’t know how “audiophile” it is but I’ve been looking at this. Actually pretty spot on for guys like me and @ckirocz28 with hungry 2ohm midbass drivers.

I guess I spoke too soon, someone does make a staggered power amp, yay Alpine!

Perhaps the alpine 6 channel is more to your means. I’ve been eyeing this up for a while now. If I didn’t have two 5 channels and a decent 2 channel I’d long ago have this running my front stage.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'm actually looking for more power per channel though to have a decent amount of headroom, and I also want to reduce the number of amps in my install. I'm currently using a JL 300/4 bridged to the midbasses, and a Sony XM-GS4 for the midranges and tweeters.
