    General Car Audio Discussion
I have had a few crossovers that had cold solder joints. Always where the input/output terminal block is soldered to the PCB. I just scrape the conformal coating off the solder and hit it with a soldering iron

...with whatever processor: Best bet is likely to ditch rears and use the 4 channel to run your front components active. If you were using the processor while configured the way you posted, the same timing delays were applied to both mid and tweeter for each side (Front L/R).

If you're going with the "Focal engineers know more than I do" approach, why not just set your DSP crossover cut-off freq and slopes to match what the passives are designed at?

    General Car Audio Discussion
The speakers came with a 1st order filter (6dB/oct)...you're not using it. You'll utilize the crossover in the head unit which will do 12dB/oct.
  11. Running active, question about speaker connections.

    General Car Audio Discussion
His processor can only do 6 or 12 dB/oct. Can't stagger with his amp crossover because it only goes up to like 750 hz.

I would highly suggest investing in a mic ^ and using a program such as REW. Many of the questions you may have along the way will be much better answered with measurements available. Otherwise, you (we) will be shooting blindly/deaf. As mentioned above, I am also running minimum gain on my...

Your tweeters will not be getting near as much power as your mids, so you want tweeters on 1/2, mids on 3/4. This allows you to set your gain structure based on high/mid/low. Level matching will be...
