So as part of my system build i need to replace the stock headunit/radio in my car with something abit better.

So far my list of equipment includes:
2- jl 12w6v2(sealed box)
boston acoustic SPZ60
kenwood XR-4S
MB Quart RAA2400
along with sound deadening once it is warm again.

i Had been looking at the Kenwood KDC-X995 or possibly the alpine CDA-117(with imprint added-on). What other options do i have? my main concerns are 4v pre-outs, USB and CD.

Both the kenwood and the alpine have tuning capabilities with the right equipment. So if i dont get a headunit with that ability i will need options for a processor for time alignment and such.

thanks for the time everyone

Not to be a pain, but what is your budget and primary needs from this?

no good question. primary needs for the receiver to accomplish is play CDs, MP3s off a flash drive, have 3(front, rear and sub) 4v pre-outs, after that its all just a bonus.

price range be around $300, max is $600.
