I'm trying to decide between a 2-way and 3-way component in the doors of a cabriolet.
The car is a 97 911 and yes, I do enjoy the exhaust notes (aftermarket Supercup exhaust) but I also love music.

The install will be relatively painless with a 2-way, but a 3-way will require a custom enclosure to keep a stock appearance.

I'm planning on running passive with crossovers supplied with the speakers. Leading choices for speakers are Focal KRX2 vs KRX3.

There will be 8" ARC 8D2 running in separate sealed boxes behind each seat for lows/ pseudo-sub.

Input cheerfully requested regarding door speakers.

Due to the loud (and beautiful sounding) exhaust as well as the fact that it's a cabriolet, I'd stick to a 2 way. The added detail in sound wouldn't be worth it in that car IMHO. You can get 95% of the sound out of a properly executed 2 way setup and keep it simple.

Nice choice in cars by the way!

I'm now deciding between Focal KRX2/3 and Dynaudio 2/342. Obviously I still haven't figured out the 2 or 3-way plan...
