Hey all,

I have a $200 budget for components and an amplifier to power the comps and subs for my 99 Corvette Coupe. New or used will fit the bill.

The HU is a Pioneer AVH-P4100DVD (came with the car), and I have a set of JL CP306R-W0 (3 x JL 6W0-12 subs wired to a 4ohm load) that I plan on using.

The front doors have plenty of room and can fit up to 8" drivers without much modification, and I'm completely open to buying separates and going active - that is, if we can warrant that at this low budget. I'm going to forego rear speakers for now.

I don't need it to be really loud, but nice, clean sound would be great.

What's the best we can do for $200? :D

Thanks in advance!

So you have about $100 for amp and $100 for components.

The Kicker zx350.4 on this FS ad should work http://www.diymobileaudio.com/[email protected]@.html

The Cadence CWM-6KIT here http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum...ound-distros-rcas-speaker-wire-mdf-rings.html

Then seal and deaden the door.
I was looking at the Cadence comps, and have read very mixed reviews ranging from fantastic to absolute crap.

Luckily for me, the car is already completely Dynamatted :D

i have a mint alpine pdx 2.150 that would power any comps nicely. it's super small (easy to mount in a vette, fit under the seat in my 83 911) and it's class d so less strain on your electrical system. shoot me a pm if interested.

I would save an extra $100 and get a used amp and component speakers that would be head and shoulders above what you could get for $200.

For example, with less than an extra bill you could upgrade to ID CTX65cs instead of looking at comps in the range of the cadence, which are too much of a gamble at $75 if your budget is only $2-300.
