Anybody have recommendations on kick panels vs. a-pillar vs. stock location vs. other for the front stage in a 2000-06 Tahoe or Yukon? I'm running Focal V30 passive, so keep that in mind. I just don't have the means to go active yet, so working with what I have.
I had the tweets in the a-pillars, and everything just sounded a little thin. Probably because the tweeters were about 8" closer to me than the mids. Also, the stage seems fairly narrow with that setup.
So tonight, I moved the tweeters down to the kicks, like in the Q-logic setup. Haven't had much listening time yet, but planning to get some tomorrow. Also, wasn't sure how much difference it would make moving the 6.5" more on axis in the kick panel.
Thoughts?
