This was my one experiment in using a sealed subwoofer enclosure in a vehicle. It was nice for SQ, but never really made me happy. Due to the amp rack and the way the sub enclosure completely closed off the trunk, I left the factory speaker locations on the rear deck open to allow the low frequencies easier access to the inside of the car. The sub was little under powered at 600 watts, but I believe the output would have been better with a vented sub. I knew next to zero about proper SQ at this point, so the car was never properly tuned. It's a shame too because I believe it had SQ potential with the DQL-8. That had to be the most under-utilized DQL-8 to have ever existed, but it looked cool...LOL.
