All,

I used to have a build log here:
http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum...ery/35563-2007-ford-f-350-crew-cab-build.html

But then Webshots became something else and almost all of my pictures were lost.

As I create other discussion threads, I find it very difficult when I don't have pictures in a build thread to refer to.

So I'm going to re-construct my build thread. I'll add the narrative later, but I figured I'd go ahead and start uploading all of the build progress pictures to start.

Those with a keen eye will notice some inconsistencies in the pictures. My build has occurred slowly over a period of 6 years. Some equipment was removed, some was added along the way (I split the cones on the Alpine Type X REFs and replaced them with the Pioneer PRS set early on; the RF 3sixty.3 was added a couple of years back). For the most part, the pictures I'm attaching (especially the last few) represent how the build looks today, but they come from various points along the 6 year span.

My goal with the build was simplicity. I've been a DIYMA participant for years. My passion for DIYMA is primarily around the quality of the builds you guys post, the audio theory, and the tuning advice, and less about the equipment and the complexity of the setups. You'll notice I stayed with modest equipment and went more "packaged" (conventional, mainstream) with my install instead of custom. As I mentioned in the other thread, I'm not much of a fabricator and I'm a bit OCD, so if I can't do it myself, I usually take the easy route. And for those who have followed some of my other threads, the compromises I've made have made it a bear to tune and get really happy with my system.

I don't drive the truck too much, so I come and go from this hobby. I'll get real active for a few months while I'm driving the truck and trying something new with the tuning, and then I'll forget about it for a few as the truck sits. I hope to become a bit more regular with the hobby (now that I have a garage I can keep the truck in) and continue to learn.

Anyway, on with the show...

Nice, but I would have not covered the cabin vents. I learned the hard way, mine was so bad I could not shut my doors cause of the pressure not being able to escape. I was not happy. I hope you don't have the same issue.
