As promised on this thread http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/general-car-audio-discussion-no-question-dumb/116157-breath-fresh-air-our-industry.html, here is the build of my 2011 Malibu LTZ.

My goals are pretty simple....

1. SQ system capable of competing.
2. Stealth but some subtle flair here and there.
3. 100% usable as a daily driver.

System layout as it stands now.

HU: Pioneer Avic-Z120bt (Wanting nav is what got me back into this so it's what I have for now.)

Front Stage:
Tweet: Dynaudio 130's
Mid range/bass: Dynaudio 650's

Subs: IDQv3's in infinite baffle configuration.

Amps:
Front: Arc Audio 4200SE
Sub: Arc Audio 600.2

That's the initial build specs. Still waiting on speakers to arrive from High Definition Mobile Audio so I have been working on the trunk area.

So to start, I made a template of the baffle board...

Then cut out the real deal after a couple changes. Not shown is another 3/4" piece to double the thickness to 1 1/2". Once I have the subs in, I will work on the final mounting of the baffles. I am planning on placing the baskets facing the car interior side both for athsetics and to save a bit of room in trunk.

Next up was for a bit of flair with a function. Always have been a big Chevy fan so thought I would add another bowtie (look at the exterior lights of a Malibu sometime)

Chevy flair with a bit of amp rack construction which is being changed a bit...
