I'll be running a Fully Active front stage and am intrigued by what options Sony's 2011 headunits have to offer. Does anyone have any experience with it any of them that can comment on Sound Quality and Build Quality.

The one i'm interested in is:

DSX-S310BTX
Sony DSX-S310BTX Digital media receiver at Crutchfield.com
Tune Tray Car Stereo | Digital Media Receiver | DSX-S310BTX | Sony USA

7 Band EQ
Time alignment/LowPass/HighPass
4 Volt Preouts (front, rear, subwoofer)
Bluetooth Pandora Radio Capabilities
Front USB
17x4 rms (wish it was more but that's what i get from my alpine 9887 anyway)

Also considering one of these:
Pioneer MVH-P8300BT Digital media receiver at Crutchfield.com
JVC Arsenal KD-A925BT CD receiver at Crutchfield.com

One of these will be replacing my Alpine CDA-9887, which is the best option.

why are you replacing the 9887? from what I know those are legendary.

I dont know anything about 2011 models, but I have never been impressed with sony car audio. they call em xplode for a reason ;)

I've had nothing but alpine's which have been great but I'd like to try something new and the specs are comparable + the blue-tooth integration which would be nice.

Sony's are the top rated head units out for 2011 from what i've heard (Minus the xplode line)

the sony is not active capable unless you want subs in your doors with full range (wide range) speakers.
Correct. I just realized this

Are any of the new pioneers active capable?
