I have always enjoyed following others builds on here and do on occasion get asked questions about the build in my truck so figured I’d post some of the journey.
I bought my 2014 Ram 1500 Quad cab Big Horn w/Alpine system with the intention of leaving the system stock, that lasted all of maybe a month before I got the upgrade itch. I started with wanting a better sub stage and down the rabbit hole I went. Currently I’m in the third iteration but I do like to switch equipment often so hopefully I stick with the current setup for a while.
Current build:
Source:
uConnect 8.4 Stock Head unit
PAC AmpPRO AP4-CH41 - Toslink out to DSP
Minidsp C-DSP 8X12DL
Amps:
Helix A6 Competition
Channel 1-2 Front Tweets
Channel 3-4 Front Mids
Channel 5-6 Rear Fill
Gladen Rc70c4
Bridged to Front Midbass
2x Sundown SAEv3-2000D
One for each SQL-12
Speakers:
Scanspeak D3004/6020 (Being replaced by Bliesma T25s-6) in sails
Xcelsus XXM325 in stock dash corner locations
Scanspeak Discovery 7” Thiel clone (Being replaced with Stereo Integrity TM65 MkIV)
Hat Unity U61-2V2 in stock rear locations
Subs:
2 X Stereo Integrity SQL-12’s Dual 4 ohm

Just ordered the Bliesma silks and am in the process of making new sail pods for those to get them more on axis than the current ones. Also have a set of SI tm65’s on the way so will update post when those pieces arrive.

SI TM65mkIV's have arrived and are installed, so far huge improvement in midbass from the Scan Discovery's. Bliesma T25s-6's are supposed to arrive tomorrow so need to get busy on new sails for those. Will update post with pics and impressions after they are installed and I update my Dirac tune.

So far I'm loving the sound, I am swapping amps and drivers often but so far this is my favorite setup. A lot of my equipment came from forum members and I'm always on the hunt for something new, part of the fun of the hobby for me.

New drivers in with a quick Dirac tune, big improvement in midbass and the Bliesma's are also a nice upgrade over the Scan D3004.
