A little sneak peak of the progress from the great folks in Wichita Falls, TX at NetAudio. Almost there. 😊

I’ll be driving over on Friday to pick her up, assuming no unforeseen complications, and they’re able to finish up. 1.4 cu ft sealed (1.26 after displacement). Area to the right of the sub is where the amps and HUB will be mounted.

Question…what does everyone think about squaring the amp rack side off? Instead of leaving the the corner open, the trim piece would be recut to cover both front corners. It would still be open underneath. See red line below. Thoughts?

I'd leave it. Any real estate in an amp rack is precious to me.

That area is 7 inches deep. There will be a floating rack that brings the depth to about 2.5 inches, with room underneath for wire management. This will bring the amps up almost flush with the top. The little nook would still be open, just covered on top. I’m thinking the HUB will fit there nicely, with the rest of the real estate being used for the three VXi amps. The top trim piece will be covered in vinyl and easily removable (wood dowels, not screws) for servicing. That being said, everyone still feel the same?

I still like keeping it open but it's your truck, not DIYMA's :)

LOL…I already made my call, but Paul and I are still a little torn. He’s polling the 5th Gen Ram board this morning and doing a photoshop to better see an A/B comparison. I agree that it will look nice either way.

Awesome! Leaving it open for now. I’m as torn as everyone else. I think I’ll only know for sure once we do the final layout of the amp rack. It’s possible that whatever goes in that spot would look better uncovered. I hope the HuB fits there. If not, maybe a distribution block or something. There’s a chance that I’ll want to change the color of the trim piece down the road…that would be a good time to revisit the decision, and we’ll know exactly how everything lays out at that point. Thanks guys!
