I've just received an email from Solen, they've received my money order but the LPG 25NFAs are on backorder for 8 weeks.

They've suggested getting Seas 25TFFN/G instead ($29 each), they said they'd actually be a bit better than the 25NFAs...

what do you think?

I'm in Canada though, which is why buying from Solen would be easier as far as shipping/brokerage/duties are concerned.

Decent, but high 3rd order HD limits crossover point to anywhere above 4kHz.

That doesn't sound like a good match to the CA18RNXs...

How bout the max fidelity tweets? They supposably sound very, very similar to the LPG tweets, but can be crossoved over lower, mating up with the CA18RNX's nicely.

Solen sells these tweets also so you could just pay them the difference since you alrady paid for the LPG's.

na Max fidelity tweets have similarities, but don't sound like the LPG's. IMO i don't think i would ever recommend MF tweets over other options out there for the money. But i will always recommend LPG. Just something about the MF tweets that just don't sound good, they sound bad below 3.5K also IMO.

I wouldn't get the Seas neo domes... better to wait for the LPG's or try the Max-fi Imo, or if you have the cash maybe a Morel mt-22/23.

I didn't hear anything weird with the Max-fi's except it's a tad hot at 10-12khz, which is easy to correct with an eq. Being a 30mm dome I thought they were fine all the way down to 2.5khz, even 2khz with a very steep filter. Distortion plots were fine around that area too at 96dbm... but if you like to play it really loud it may not hold up.
