So I finally finished my install sort of, but now im bored. I was thinking of ditching my tweets and throwing in my horns. I have a pair of brand new CD2 full bodies, I would rather use the new neos as installation would be much easier, if i can get them at the right price.
However my question is, Ill be running my 4 way active set up, and I would like to just swap out the tweeters, my tweets and mids are currently in the kicks, I would like to bring the midrange up onto the dash into the a-pillars, is there a downside to this?
Im thinking about installing the horns and then listening with the mids still in the kicks and then building the a pillars to see which I like better.

Opinions?

You might find that if you're itching to do a 4-way that you'd be better off swapping your 4s with the horns and leaving the tweets. The CD2s roll off a little before 20k and some people have found that keeping a (super)tweeter installed keeps the very top octaves still intact.

Just a thought.
