Any options for a 6.5 Point Source other than the Morel Hybrid Integra 602 or Dayton 180?

I'm getting ready to start piecing together a system for my GSXR1k Rhino and was thinking of using some Crawl Tunes 6.5 cans for the front stage.

illusion and KEF
I think the morels are as high dollar as I wanna go. Lol, I was looking for something in between them and the Daytons price wise.

Ive got a set of Audiofrog GS62 for sale that would probably do the trick. Not a point source but a very good coaxial
I didn't even think about the Frog but those are 6" though aren't they. I think the cans are prefabbed for 6.5".

You know what? PM me your price anyway. Maybe I'll make my one cans out of PVC.

I have a set of illusion L6CX that are point source. They are the Luccent not the Carbon series so ploy cones on the woofer and silk dome on the tweeters instead of carbon fiber and copper/beryllium. I might could make a pretty sweet deal on them.

I've never heard the lower level Illusion stuff. Always wondered how they sound.

I know the Luccent are cheaper than the Carbons, but I wouldn’t really classify them as lower level. The use that same basket, motor and surround as the Carbons, just different cone material. Heck, these Luccents are $699 on Crutchfield.

I feel ya! I made grills to go over my pods, but I keep them off because those C3CX’s are just plain sexy.

Sweet. Loved Rhino's. Powerful enough to tow a car out a ditch and can still do 60 through the woods with the limiter removed. Plus they are small compared to other SUV's uh... I mean side by sides.

This thing is powered by a '05 GSXR 1000 engine so it's a little different than your average Rhino. I'm getting a reverse gear box installed on it and freshening up some things so I figured I might as well build a stereo for it.

I previously just plugged in my phone to the intercom system but I want to be able to listen to music when we stop for a refreshment break.

Sounds like blasphemy. Stupid Suzuki's. I'm a Yamaha and Kawasaki guy.

I know guys do it though. You can have pretty nice systems in them for a couple hundred bucks. It's a thing with all country folk around here in their camo clothes bumping Hank Williams Sr riding through the woods scaring all the creatures away with that racket!

Yours is probably badass. Why not use the 1100? I don't really know the different between the two engine. Reverse is awesome. It would be useful on bikes.

How far do you take that thing with all that motor? How fast could it go? At what speed would you like to still hear your music (to keep it on topic)!

When I bought it it had the 1k engine in it already w/ a turbo..

Was a lot of fun but couldn't make it reliable. Removed the turbo and it's been much more reliable. I know the 05-06 1k motors are popular with the mod lite dirt track racers. I think the torque curve is much better for moving something heavy like a mod lite car or Rhino in my case.

I've gone on some pretty decent runs about 30-40 miles or so round trip in the washes outside of Yuma. I've had it up to about 90 and then it starts to get a little scary with the short wheel base.

The music is mainly for when I'm putting around trails or stopping for refreshments. For the high speed stuff, I'll stick with the intercom setup.
